What the Arizona and Michigan results tell us is that Romney barely won in his own state and worst, the delegates were split 15 each between him and Santorum! That's no win! And while he won Arizona, he won only 47 % of the vote while Santorum got 27 %. What does this mean for Progressive Latinos? It's time to get involved. The Republican primaries will continue as no
clear nominee is in sight. But guess what? Once they pick a nominee for president the conservative base will line up like sheep and follow whomever for its "anyone but Obama" in their book. Progressive Latinos will make the difference in this election!!! The Republican candidates in their zeal to get the vote have been attacking each other and the results have been to show themselves for what they truly stand for and it is not for you! One makes up social issues to include outrageous charges of government involvement in religious freedom when the reverse is true i.e. that religious institutions have no more right to impose their beliefs on a citizen than the government. It is an INDIVIDUAL right to pursue religious beliefs as one chooses. The other makes a big game about fixing the economy because of his business background yet for all his experience he displayed his lack of judgment and lack of commitment to the American worker in his own state when suggesting that the auto industry just go bankrupt! That is not Presidential Leadership - is it? Well only one has moved to ensure an individual's right of pursuit of religion and saved the American auto industry and that is President Obama. With the help of the Progressive Latino vote the chances will be high that Latino interests will eventually be addressed to include the Dream Act and comprehensive immigration reform. What do you think? TPL
