The Center for American Progress compiled a very insightful list of facts (http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2012/02/NV_immigrants.html) about Nevada's Latinos. The Nevada Republican caucus is on Saturday, February 4. Latinos in Nevada, represent the state with the fifth-highest Latino population nationally. They are 14% of the state electorate. Given Nevada has the highest (12.6 per USA Today, 3 Feb 12) unemployment rate in the nation, one can expect that many Latinos will make up a sizable percentage of the unemployed as was as the poor. Just note that both Romney & and Gingrich oppose programs such as Welfare to assist the poor. Should a Latino vote for any of these two knowing what they themselves have stated in the pasts months regarding their anti-immigration / anti-poor agendas? TPL
