Poor, Uneducated, Immigrants Need NOT Apply!!

In the latest Right-wing display of hypocrisy and racism, Republican Congressman Lou Barletta said. “The majority that are here illegally are low-skilled or may not even have a high school diploma. The Republican Party is not going to compete over who can give more social programs out. They will become Democrats because of the social programs they’ll depend on.”  Click here for the entire article.  Ya, it's ok to deny the poor, uneducated the right to be here so long as your Italian ancestors were able to eh Lou!  The Right-wing wants your vote Latino but be weary.  The Right-wing is spilt - arguing amongst itself over immigration.  Some still don't want it and see it as amnesty.   That’s not all.  They say they now want to address immigration but the devil is in the details and they don’t see a pathway to citizenship as part of the deal.  Where is Rubio?  Typical Right-wing blowback is talk like this.  Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) asked, “Are there options that we should consider between the extremes of mass deportation and the pathway to citizenship for those not lawfully present in the United States?"  This is crazy talk.  They want to play the Latinos just to get more of their vote as if Latinos are stupid enough  to accept a token handout.  TPL visit www.theprogressivelatino.com and LIKE us on Facebook
